A G-SIB bank with 200,000+ employees across 60 countries was failing annual compliance training completion targets, with completion rates hovering around 67% and post-training assessment scores indicating poor retention. Regulators were asking questions, and the Chief Compliance Officer needed a complete overhaul of their AML, KYC, and ethics training curriculum—delivered in a format that would actually engage employees rather than serving as background noise during lunch.

The Solution
We partnered with their compliance and L&D teams to redesign the entire training curriculum around scenario-based video modules. Rather than talking-head lectures, we produced dramatized scenarios featuring realistic workplace situations—an analyst facing pressure to overlook a suspicious transaction, a relationship manager navigating a gift from a foreign official, a trader witnessing potential market manipulation. Each scenario was filmed with professional actors and production values that signaled the firm took this seriously. We delivered 24 modules across six compliance domains, all SCORM-packaged for their global LMS with localized subtitles in 12 languages.
The Result
Training completion rates jumped to 94% within the first mandatory cycle, exceeding regulatory thresholds for the first time in three years. More importantly, post-training assessment scores improved by 41%, indicating genuine comprehension rather than click-through completion. The CCO reported that employees were actually discussing the scenarios in team meetings—an unprecedented level of engagement with compliance content. The program has since been cited as a best practice in regulatory examinations.
